The Lido Stores’ final show of 2025 celebrates the fifth anniversary of the gallery’s opening. Owner Kristen Healy has curated a vibrant selection of new contemporary artworks by 26 artists, most of whom have exhibited solo or in group shows at The Lido Stores.

“The pleasure of curation is the discovery of conversations between works that occupy all manner of styles – figurative, abstract and landscape – and mediums – painting, drawings, collage and wall-based sculpture. To be able to do that with our resident artists, many of whom have played a significant role in putting the gallery on the map over the last five years, and all of whom have such disparate backgrounds and practices, is the joy of a show like this. It makes it more personal to the gallery, and to me as a curator, and I’m excited to welcome people to the opening on December 6th to celebrate with us.”

 All exhibited works have been executed within the last twelve months, and all are affordably priced at below £400. This is the perfect opportunity for buyers to add to their collections, or to gift art this Christmas. The Lido Stores has a reputation for working with some of the most interesting and exciting visual artists working in the UK and Ireland; it’s been a joy to watch their careers flourish, and we hope many of them will be able to join us for the opening reception.

Uniquely for a Lido Stores exhibition, buyers can take the work away with them on the day of purchase. “We want the curation to evolve as pieces leave the gallery,” says Healy, “which incentivises people to come back multiple times during the show to see how the dialogue between works have shifted in different directions. As an artist and curator, that’s an attractive challenge.”
