M E M E N T O   A M O R I S

You are invited to submit work for our next open call, Memento Amoris.

Remember love. Remember to love. Remember, you must love.

All shortlisted work will form an exhibition at The Lido Stores for 5 weeks. 

Submissions are via email and mediums eligible for submission include Drawing, Painting, Wall-based sculpture, Collage and Print with the deadline for submissions midnight Thursday 15 January 2026. 

Submitted works must be up to and under 40cm in any direction, including frame. Work must be for sale, dry and ready to hang, and delivered to the gallery by 4pm 31 January 2026. Artist will receive 55% of each sale and The Lido Stores commission is 45%. The Lido Stores will handle shipping of sold works only. Collection of any unsold work is the artists responsibility, either in person or via post.

The exhibition is free to enter, with a hanging fee of £40 per selected artist.  

To submit email images to altvalentines26@gmail.com with a brief biography, brief statement (written in the third person) included in the body of the email or as word docx (no other formats accepted) and images as jpeg attachments. Files must be under 3MB and be labelled with artist’s name, the title of work, size, medium, year and price Eg: Steve Jefferies, Untitled Painting, 30x40x3cm, Oil, Acrylic, Ink, Dye and Collage on Canvas, 2025, £280. Please include the work details in the body of the submission email.

Please submit up to three artworks per artist. 

Key dates:

• Submission deadline: Midnight, 15 January 2026

• Delivery of work: 22 - 31 January 2026

• Exhibition: 7 February - 15 March 2026

• Opening Reception: 7-9pm Saturday 7 February 2026

• Collection of unsold work: 19 - 21 March 2026
